Aubry GABANON

  • I started aeromodelling at 14 years old, in the nearby club where I was able to be accompanied in my wish to learn aerobatics on Extra300 aircraft, and then, a little by chance, a pilot let me try its glider in the mountains. Since then, I've never picked up. I continued to improve myself, at random from a meeting with a colleague at Airbus who guided me to small pylon racing competitions, so I officially started my story in F3F. In doing so, I took over the organization and increased the frequency of these competitions allowing as many modelers as possible to try this sport. In parallel with my progress, and my selections in the French Team, I write articles for the federal magazine, I organize French Championships and French Cup on various sites, and now an international competition. I started to join the French Team in 2016, the beginning of a great story...

Philippe LANES

  • I caught the virus when I was 10 years old, a glider box was lying on a shelf in my room when I had caught chickenpox.
So I started to build my first model, it was only the beginning of a long story that would accompany me over the years
Self-taught in this field I learned to build and manage on my own. The glider has become my faithful friend and competition has always been my passion. Once upon a time, a friend introduced me to the F3F, I invested myself in the practice of this exciting discipline where nothing is ever acquired.
My son Sébastien who has been with me since his early childhood on the competitions has finally joined me and become as passionate as I was, his progress was much faster than mine, today he is regularly before his father for my greatest happiness. We now do podiums together, have gone all over France, Europe and even Asia to practice our exciting hobbies. We have already been in the French team several times but never together!
In 2020 a new page will be written for us the French team will be a bit like ours. A kind of grail for me, Aubry Gabanon who completes the French pilot and friend team with whom we have shared many competitions and trips.
It is therefore a close-knit team completed by our coach Fred Hours, who was also international for the France team, enriched by Jean-Luc Foucher for the theoretical and technical aspects.

Hervé DALL'AVA

  • Hervé is our alternate pilot, but not the least. He took on this exciting and technical sport with passion and assiduity that much envy him. Always a keen meteorologist, he will bring to the team all his little tricks that will make our lives easier.

Jean-Luc FOUCHER

  • Jean-Luc comes from a famous company as Payload Chief Engineer. In his free times, he had designed gliders since years with success. So he is our aerodynamic specialist who provide to the team all the calculations and verifications, thinking every flight phases to get efficient results.

Fédéric HOURS

  • I started around 14 years old when my neighbor gives me a Multiplex Filius to build entirely. I disassemble the radio from my remote control car and I’m off to make my first flights. Not having a club nearby I started with a lot of breakdowns but always stay motivated.
In the following times, I tested the plane but stayed rather towards the gliders and the constructions of different models.
I discovered the f3f during the meeting in Valdrome (FRA) in 95’ where the atmosphere and the principle of combining speed and technique addicted me.
Since yet, the F3F infected me.
